L.A. Caveman

I adore a "enemies to lovers" storyline and this one was really good. Stanna is a author during a men's weekly magazine; she writes a "woman's view" column. She's on lane to spin editor, until unexpected there's a new owners and Ian, her editor and mentor, is fired. Jake, a new owner, calls her in to let her go as well, yet he can't - Stanna has a contract. In lieu of banishment her, Jake's vigilant is to make life miserable for Stanna so she'll quit. Stanna has no goal of going anywhere...
From their hostile viewpoints to Jake's Neanderthal views about women, we was rooting for Stanna all a way. But that hiss was there, and they both knew it. Once they concluded to disagree, Jake grew on me, and we started rooting for "them". Of march there were some misunderstandings they had to overcome, as good as their possess stubbornness, to make things work.
What we didn't like: we didn't like a villain. No - we know you're not ostensible to like a villain, that's not what we mean. He was roughly a mimic , we could design him sitting in his elegantly allocated rooms, twirling his overly waxed mustache, plotting his subsequent move. *spoiler: We never found out since he due such a outrageous volume of income to a mob. we overtly felt like Ms. Crooks could have delved a bit some-more into his storyline and maybe done it a bit some-more believable. we also felt like her roommate's storyline didn't supplement anything during all to a story. we would have elite some-more communication between Jake and Stanna instead of skipping forward weeks during a time.
This was an engaging story that we wish would have left a small deeper into a attribute dynamics between Jake and Stanna and reduction with a delegate characters. we do consider that Jake and Stanna's hatred/passion for any other was great. The tragedy between them was so thick we could roughly feel it while we was reading!

L.A. Caveman is a novel that showcases a genuine attribute where dual people are captivated to one another yet can't mount any other's personalities. It takes a while for Jake and Stanna to get on a same page, yet when they finally do know one another, a chemistry explodes between them. Even yet this novel is not length page-wise, Crooks really has a moist delayed blazing essay character that builds expectation during any spin of a page. L.A. Caveman is an glorious novel and Christina Crooks continues to win me over with her work!

A good examination with good created characters

This is my initial examination of a book on Amazon and we contingency contend that we found L.A. Caveman to be a good beguiling read. we could not put my Kindle down as we examination this whole content in a 24 hour duration :) we was immediately pulled into a story and found myself saying a good Hepburn/Tracey like story personification out before me, with a hold of suspense/mystery, and a good regretful pairing that did not let me down during any indicate in a book. we was astounded by a approach ALL of a characters came to life and done me caring about them, and many importantly giggle with them. we desired a bureau staff and felt like we was going to work with Stanna & Jake during Men's Weekly any time they stepped off a elevator.
With all this said, since did we give this book a 4 star examination rather than a 5? we wanted some-more of a Ian story, greatfully do not consider that there was anything wrong with Ian's story as written, my criticism is only that we wanted some-more of a play and attrition that he brought to a story. we would contend some-more yet we don't wish to spoil a story for anyone else :)
